Transplant patient in shock after HIV diagnosis

It is one of three hospitals federal officials said Thursday, Nov. 15 they are investigating about what they knew and told four organ transplant patients about a high-risk donor who infected them with HIV and hepatitis. A woman in her 30s who is one of the four organ transplant patients infected with HIV and hepatitis was not told that the infected donor was high risk, and had previously rejected another donor "because of his lifestyle," her attorney said.
